Here I am again after almost 7 years of quiet. I have returned to meditating to reduce stress and begin to channel. The world situation was very motivating, for survival’s sake. I needed the stress relief more than I needed my doubt about whether this channeling process was real or not.

In the last few months messages from Martin have gotten my attention plus I have been more attentive to the content, more comfortable with the process and happy to strike up a dialogue with him/them.

So today I listened, and this is what I learned.

I indirectly asked for help from my wife, Estra, by admitting my negative feelings (about myself) without blame but accepting my responsibility for them. It was safe to hug me, I was upset with myself and not being “prickly” to others.

She did hug me. I listened for the feeling as she hugged and it began. There was a little watery feeling about my eyes and a slight change in the feeling in my chest. That was my way out. Minutes would pass before I could get to the opportunity to take this into a morning meditation, but when that opportunity came I took it. With a solfeggio frequency playing on Tibetan singing bowls in the background I settled into a light meditative state.

I remembered the images and ideas from the “The 1 Field” documentary we watched a couple days ago. I could imagine the slight expansion of the magnetic field around my heart. Next came the memory of the Nova PBS episode on Quantum theory and a brief mention of Quantum Entanglement.

Then an image popped into my mind of the human magnetic field around the heart; the similar magnetic field around the earth followed. And then there was resonance. I believe that I had successfully performed the behavioral recipe for “Grounding.” I felt safer, my feelings of panic and anger were gone.

I must summarize what I did next in that meditative state since the details may be too much for this blog post entry. There was Love and Light, Power and Purpose combined in a great world wide wave. It seemed like I was a surrogate for all the ordinary people, the muggles, the hobbits, and the less informed voters. I could feel this relief for them, for their soothing and healing from the fear and darkness they see.

And, at last, I gave that LOVE, that RELIEF to him; he who must not be named.

Then, my meditation, which was surprisingly clear and alert, sank into a deeper state, less conscious more relaxed and with no recall, the dreamless sleep of PEACE.

If it is “Star Wars” time again at the movie theaters and the Pentagon is allowing verifiable videos of UFO features to be declassified, then maybe we can expect some new ideas entering into our Science Fiction. The features I refer to in the new UFO videos are the lack of regard for Newtonian Physics, the physics of the use of force. This is what our current transportation reality seems to be most dependent upon. Combustion engines, jet engines, even electrical power comes from moving water or moving air at best and explosive gases, liquids or solids at worst.

Not so with these UFOs. No exploding gases roaring out of a UFO’s tail is seen. And as to their performance, the unbelievable acceleration and their abrupt changes in direction are impervious to what we consider to be laws of inertia; Newton’s first law of motion. The pilots of military chase planes know this first hand. They see the UFO objects demonstrate what their own experience says can’t be real. They know that they would black out at least if not die if their aircraft experienced the actions of these UFOs with their bodies in them. The pilot reaction to this is “expletive deleted.”

The “To the Stars Academy of Arts and Sciences” (according to the Washington Post) says that it specializes in promoting UFO research for scientific and entertainment purposes. That is why a former head of the Pentagon’s program named “The Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program,” AATIP, got 3 videos of UFOs declassified for use by his new employer, the “To the Stars Academy.”

I think that the word “entertainment” in this context is code for “fear the aliens” but it doesn’t have to be. Maybe my thinking is too cynical. Maybe there is an opposite conspiracy afoot. Shall we instead anticipate something different extending the canon of “Star Wars” into the realm of a “Star Peace?” I know it is not blockbuster box office material but SW canon does suggest that fear and hate lead away from a positive more powerful use of “The Force.” In the movies it now works out as a hero vanquishing a villain through force of combat. Not right away of course, but eventually. What if a mastery of “The Force” is total displacement of any fear or hate.

We may have a very difficult time imagining this in our world but deep in our mystical cultural roots we can find that there is an emotional state that displaces, has no room for fear or hate. Here is my suggestion. Star Wars may be coming to a close and will be eventually replaced by a Star Peace. Slowly at first but the change will be coming more quickly as we humans actively seek some emotional state to displace the increasing fear, anger and hate we now see in our world.

I have faith in a metaphorical Newton’s Third Law; For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. I believe the push back against the increasing fear, anger and hate has already begun and will continue with a great sense of determination and conscious intention.

I note the peculiar use of the word “entertainment” in the above article. I summarize a few things from the article to get to my point.

First I must say that intelligence officer, Luis Elizondo, is described as being in the Defense Department two months ago, running a program called The Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program. Then he applies for and receives clearance for public viewing of 3 videos. The article contains one of them as an example.

Then Elizondo admits that the reason for the clearance for public viewing of these videos is actually to shed light on that program within Defense that he was in charge of for 7 years. This clarifies that the program known as “The Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program” was a low-key Defense Department operation to collect and analyze reported UFO sightings.

Next it is revealed that Elizondo has retired and begun consulting for a private company who has requested and received confirmation by a Pentagon spokesman of the existence of the “The Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program.” That private company is identified as “To the Stars Academy of Arts and Sciences.” It is in the fourth paragraph of the news story that this company says that it specializes in promoting UFO research for scientific and entertainment purposes.

It IS INTERESTING that the “Academy” has as an officer a former deputy assistant secretary of defense for intelligence, Christopher Mellon. Two defense intelligence retirees, and 3 declassified videos of verifiable “anomalous aerial vehicles” (military jargon for UFOs) are now involved in “science and entertainment.” It is interesting to note that the Washington Post has been having confidential conferences with the “To the Stars Academy” for the last 2 months.

Might it be safe to say that the inclusion of “entertainment” in the mission of the “To the Stars Academy” may help bring about a better understanding of contact with Extra Terrestrial Intelligence? Some of the follow up reading in the links below will reveal that though only about 12 out of 100 of the scenarios suggested for contact with ETIs is considered to be pessimistic or “Klingon-like.” We can’t seem to come up with a balanced view of ET that gives peace a chance 12% of the time let alone the corresponding 88% that scientists consider to be likely. But then again, when do scientific facts make for good let alone blockbuster box office receipts.

Being curious about the Sci Fi writer mentioned in the symposium I looked up on Wiki-encyclopedia, David Brin

He seems to have a very positive direction to his Sic Fi themes in one series. He even suggests that humans will have a future role in nurturing other planetary cultures. Perhaps this is what is really going on right now. Could it be that a variety of Extra Terrestrial Intelligences are discreetly nurturing the human race.

        I feel a sense of poetic symbolism when I put these words together as a title. I have heard of and seen a photo of Barak and Michelle Obama on the “Rising Sun,” the yacht of David Geffen. They were reported to be there along with celebrities Oprah, Tom Hanks and Bruce Springsteen. But why you ask, have I added “Butterfly Effect” to my title? Ah, that is because I sense a tiny insignificant action will have the eventual global effects, consequences, from the other side of the world, Tahiti. So, the storm, the churning chaos on this side of the world will assume the shape, the final form of those positive thoughts of FLOTUS, OPRAH and company through the laws of Chaos Theory.

        The Churn that lies within that pupate form contributes all of the random actions and energy. Here on the side of the world we see the meaningless thousands of thousands of things moving through their incomprehensible cause and effect relationships as a nearly infinite set of variables. That is our inexplicable world. We struggle to make sense, explain, grasp at controls or guess at some rational meaning. But, to truly, intuitively “see” means we must not control, not grasp at meanings, explanations and sense.

        FLOTUS, OPRAH and company are our celebrity symbols of our selves. We gather in small groups, discuss what we don’t like, what we would want to see as our world “instead of” the nonsense and a strange electricity permeates the air. We feel excitement, inspiration; our imaginations light up and A BUTTERFLY EFFECT takes flight. Unseen is this force. Unseen is this subatomic form which takes shape yet it contains a plan, an embryonic blue print of the destined macrocosmic form which lies at the end of The Churn; at the end of the long path of countless fractal permutations.

        A small but significant percent of a percent of us dream, meditate, and converse with each other flowing in that savory stream of energy. Electric inspiration charges the air around us. We feel aware, awoke, alive and we participate in that DREAMING. FLOTUS, OPRAH and company are my celebrity symbols for the thousands and thousands of butterfly wings stirring. They are you and I. We may not even realize what we are doing. But we participate. Each of us at our own level of awareness are forming a future.

        And then we return to a patience and practice that might be considered mundane, banal or just born of simple everyday ceremonies of daily work and daily bread. The Churn continues. “Be not afeard; the isle is full of noises.” And as in the conclusion of “The Tempest” we are reminded “We are such stuff as dreams are made on, and our little life, is rounded with a sleep.”

        We eventually learn to go within to find true control; each of us at our own pace. There we find our true essence and we are each conscious beings becoming more conscious of our consciousness.

        I am encouraged to lead with this overall view as my introduction to the deeper aspects I see in “The Churn.” I will continue with a series of connect the dots articles to give more form to this vision. Next Title: The Caterpillar, The Churn, and the End of Times

        The Golden Rule, do unto others as you would have them do unto you, is an acknowledgement that we are all one, namaste (the spirit within me honors and respects the spirit within you).

        The Prime Directive is an order or mission which presents the overriding control over a course of action. In the context of the Star Trek fictional universe, this overriding mission order applies to Starfleet personnel interference in civilizations which are below a certain technological threshold.

        In our case the ‘directive’ is not an order against interference but a barrier against a civilization from accessing a level of technology that would allow them to suspend the Newtonian laws of physics in macroscopic circumstances when that member or members of the civilization cannot manifest as a being that is ‘at one with all other beings within the universe.’

        So, in order to travel at a speed faster than the speed of light a being would have to be in a state of consciousness that is at one with the consciousness of the universe. Thus protecting by a rule of isolation other civilizations from a harmful act of a less developed civilization.

        The Golden Prime Directive is not governing the actions of a more advanced civilization in our universe like an overriding order imposed on a highly advanced extra-terrestrial civilization, but level of consciousness to be obtained, or that a civilization is initiated into before that civilization can cross from a Newtonian Physical Law reality into a Quantuum Physical Law (flexible) reality.

        From what I recall in Alice Bailey’s writings I draw on the concept of “A Ring Pass Not.” This is the barrier of time and space that cannot be overcome with conventional rocket engines nor any other type of thrust propulsion because it cannot over come the conversion of energy to mass barrier which prevents faster than light travel.

        The irony of the Scientific Method is that it tries to create an objective understanding of the Universe and from that objectivity establish a truth for all members of our civilization to agree upon it. The Method ignores the fact that the consciousness of the investigating scientist actually participates in the creation of the reality that it wishes to perceive and establish as a truth. Thus if you perceive light to be energy, it is measurable as energy and behaves as energy. If you perceive light to be a mass (particle) it is measurable as a particle and behaves as a particle (mass).

        So, the Scientific Method becomes an infinite number of baby steps taken to establish a reality which already exists as a common reality (truth) established by the common perception of all participants in our culture (terrestrial civilization). As we slowly expand our common understanding of the truth we create an ever expanding set of beliefs, the system of which creates the reality we agree upon and that is what constructs our Newtonian Physical Law reality.

        But, the one thing that bridges the gap between this primitive understanding of our Newtonian Physical Law reality and the Quantuum Physical Law reality which would allow travel beyond a “Ring Pass Not” is the achievement of a level of consciousness by the whole of the civilization in a firm, concrete belief; a belief in that oneness of consciousness which prevents harm to all others specifically because it prevents harm to ourselves. We are one and the same being. We are one in thought, in emotion, in spirit and that is as real to us as all other things we consider as true in our understanding of this universe. I sit on a chair and I do not fall through it. It is real.

        So it follows that if I am at one with the Universe, I am in this time and space and I am in another time and space of my imagining that exceeds the Newtonian Laws of Physicality and allows me to exceed the Newtonian Physical Laws of the speed of light or the laws of acceleration and inertia. So, to someone confined to Newtonian Physical Laws it appears that I can violate those laws by moving at excessive speeds and experience no consequences of inertia due to excessive speed. I can pass through liquids and solids as if they are less substantial in mass than the nitrogen oxygen mass that is our atmosphere.

        To conclude this for tonight I would like to state that our mass consciousness is evolving more and more rapidly. That flexibility which is injected into our reality from that expanding mass consciousness will eventually have an impact on us, on our reality. This will reverse certain ‘false premises’ that we use to create our belief systems and there will be a change in reality that will become easily taken for granted and at the same time impossible to resist.

        Next time…what are those false premises?

Keep in mind that this “Mind Walk” is taking you outside of your usual limits of perception and your usual belief system. It’s good to grow.

“E Pluribus Unum” is the first step. “E Universe Pluriverse” is the second step. And last is the concept of “Ad Infinitum.” Think of the whole of these three as “Worlds Without End” and “So It Goes!”

So, diving into the perceptions of our characters we see what they see, perceive what the perceive and expand ourselves into their worlds with our imagination, hoping that it makes enough sense we can relate to it and is interesting enough to follow without much effort.

The world according to Ree-Nee is constantly expanding and contracting. Contraction occurs with every visit to Poly. Expansion comes when she withdraws from the world surrounding Poly and then re-enters the world around her father and around her “People” (mysterious beings we will learn about later).

The world around Poly, however, expands and contracts with her emotional state on one hand and is encouraged to expand whenever she is around Ree-Nee. Around Ree-Nee the expansion is a slow constant pull exerted by a gentle but persistent feeling of “Love.”

The appearances and disappearances of Ree-Nee are supported by characters behind the scenes. These two characters (D & E) and their staff are great spherical balls of consciousness appearing as light (when appearances are necessary). That is how Ree-Nee and her father, and any of her “People” are able to manifest in Poly’s world. Passing from a physical dimensional state into an extra dimensional state from one place and time into another place and time is as easy and as unexplainable as scene changes in our dreams when we are sleeping. The relationship between these great spheres of consciousness and Ree-Nee’s People is cooperative but vague. The kind of relationship between a parent and child leaves the child trusting but unconscious of all the details of the parents point of view. We shall leave it that way focusing only on the lower levels of characters in the story and avoid the ones that are definitely above our pay grade.

The dream analogy however has its limits. The universe that this story is bringing to you is created through an immense amount of energy converting to matter and then dissipating as energy once again through wormholes in our universe to a source akin to all black holes tied together inter-dimensionally. Wow, what a recycling plan!

I know, your head is starting to hurt. Go back to the beginning of this “Mind Walk” and trace these steps. Empty space all around us vibrates to bring into existence all the particles of matter that create our universe. From our point of view all this matter vibrates at a frequency that is slow enough that we can keep a chair a chair, a table a table, and our buttocks and hands can count on not falling through anything. With that sense of comfort we can call this universe “Home.”

“Home” is wherever you hang your hat. “Hat” being the metaphor for your point of view, your perceptual accumulated conglomeration of stuff that you consider reality. Hard to believe? Well then, I hope I am gently and lovingly expanding your conscious belief systems and helping you make sense of “What is Reality?!”

So, here we are bending your reality with characters that can blink in and out of existence (as perceived by other characters), travel great distances in time and space AND MOST IMPORTANTLY feel and express in a tangible manner emotional states that are outside our range of experience, let alone our conceivable understanding.

Another take on this idea would be that Ree-Nee is a falling (and then rising) angel. Constantly falling into Poly’s world and then rising out of it. Each time Poly experiences a pull of “gravitational love.” It expands her consciousness again and again helping over the challenges that she meets in her growing world.

Now Daniel, weave and write this into a plot!

        For more than five years I have been thinking of writing science fiction that resembles nothing that I have found to read in the genre. I get hopeful, but then I get disappointed. I see some aspects of a story that is promising but then it turns in a direction that was different than what I would have liked it to go.

        So, I shall start exploring some of my ideas here in this blog in anticipation of making progress toward out lining my vision more completely and eventually writing the novels that seem to be nagging at me in the back of my mind.

        I shall start with my thoughts on a cultural change that may be hard to recognize within our society. I can see evidence in it in new age teachers like Matt Kahn and researchers like Jeffery Martin (http://www.fourthawakening.com/index.php/jeffery-a-martin). There lie the beginnings of a type of scientific advancement of human beings that is more than just technological but truly advances “us.”

        As I was reading (for the third time) Asimov’s Caves of Steel, first of the robot murder mystery novels, I was thinking of how Asimov was looking forward in his science fiction setting but still looking backward. I had read somewhere that he had based his Foundation series of novels which carries forward the robot theme and major character from “Caves of Steel,” on the fall of the Roman Empire. I understood the need for the conflict at the social level but there was something that was unchanged from Roman times still carried forward into the human condition thousands of years into the human future. Can there be a way to see the future of humanity at a point when human nature itself is beginning to advance or evolve? And what does that human nature begin to look like? Then, if I can begin to describe that in the context of a plot can I go a step further and foresee the type of conflicts that may arise within that time of change? These are tough questions for me and only begin to scratch the surface of the puzzles I must solve to write “my” kind of science fiction.

        As I read “Caves of Steel” Isaac Asimov began describing his idea of a futuristic setting. I began wondering what kind of futuristic setting I wanted to describe for my novels. I had thought that a three hundred year span might be interesting to consider. What would it look like in that future. And like “Lige Bailey” in Caves of Steel, what would I be thinking as I looked back?

        Three hundred years, about 12 generations, seemed to be a good span that might be short enough to meet the accelerated pace that seems to be suggested by these advancements I have been reading about but still long enough to allow for the story to explore the conflicts that would need to arise and be resolved. From my point of view cultural attitudes can change but can also be very resistant to change. On the surface prejudice and bigotry may be subsiding more rapidly but the fear that underlies that kind of cultural resistance still hangs over subsequent generations. The very nature of empathic compassion vs. xenophobic aggression is where I want to go to explore this change, this advancement of the human being.

        Empathic compassion, seeing others as being at one with yourself is at the heart of this change. Would there be a growing hidden class of individuals within our society that had experienced this awakening. Is it similar to what Jeffery Martin refers to? I can imaging that these types of humans were experiencing that kind of consciousness but felt so well adjusted that they blended right in with everyone else. The only difference being that they appeared “Happy for No Reason.”

        Asimov divides his future world into three classes (broadly speaking). Earthers, Spacers and Robots. I think he set it 100,000 years into the future. Technology was advanced but Psychology was only different in a very small degree as he introduced the Hari Seldon character and the concept of Psycho History.

        In my novels’ setting there would be a beginning in psychological and emotional advancement or evolution, much more subtle in nature (if you compared it to the technology advances). Perhaps it would be largely undetected by science (psychology and sociology) largely because it was so hard to understand given the thought processes and feelings of those academics that it would be overlooked. Overlooked because those who were open to that type of advancement were seldom accepted into the academic circles that would be expected to recognize such advancement. And, the ironic result would be an academic blind spot to such a change in society.

        Jeffery Martin considers us to be on the cusp of a fourth awakening by the human race. I read recently (Will Durant’s Renaissance) that there was no awareness that the Renaissance was happening unitil 200 years after the Renaissance. I believe that the scientific establishment is suffering from a blind spot that similarly prevents recognition of the current signs of change in human beings. That blind spot may be due to several characteristics. I will explore later. I want to read Bruce Lipton’s Spontaneous Evolution to get a better understanding for my next entry.

“Having hope,” writes Daniel Goldman in his study of emotional intelligence, “means that one will not give in to overwhelming anxiety, a defeatist attitude, or depression in the face of difficult challenges or setbacks. Hope is more that the sunny view that everything will turn out all right. It is believing that you have the will and the way to accomplish your goals.”

Interesting, I found this and saved it here back on December 7, 2012. I picked up my journal now, today on April 15, 2013. My thought was to write about conscious or mindful maneuvering of my emotional self (body). Since I am feeling and observing more and more that task of shifting my emotional state to a more positive direction. It is becoming a little more easy. It’s still a challenge, but it does feel easier.

An example of the sensitivity would be that I feel the smallest sounds ripple right through me like a startle response that is not quite startling. It feels like a second skin that is a padding around me and yet connected to my nervous system. That’s why it feels like a startle response, slightly. I don’t jump out of my skin, but I could if I did not feel slightly detached. It is that slight detachment that seems to be the strength of “being the observer.”

My opening quote about “Having Hope” was a good introduction to this because it is an operational definition of the emotional state. That operation being the “not giving in” part. So if I cultivate the strength of being an observer, I empower myself to have that opportunity to choose. To choose, is the conscious and mindful act that replaces the “giving in” response to my perceived reality. Therefore in each and every moment I perceive, with that observational pause, I then respond to those perceptions and act. Because the response is a mindful one I am allowing a wider choice of actions to be present.

I “startle,” allowing the emotional feeling pass through me. I reflect, allowing a more positive interpretation of the perception to emerge. I act, in a more understanding or loving way. The loving way could, and often is, loving toward myself. That idea of being more loving to myself is where I started out this morning. More forgiveness of self, lead to more mindful actions, like picking up this journal again. Picking up this journal brought me back to this quote from December of last year. I have completed my circle, my thought.

So, that is the drawn out operational definition of “Hope.” It is so much easier to act with the will and the way that accomplishes my goals (to paraphrase) when I perceive “difficult challenges or setbacks” with mindfulness and this free will styled operational definition of “Hope.”

Having removed the MacJournal default text, I am testing my own text insert and publishing.

I find myself sitting upon the top step of tall bleachers in a gymnasium. It is an old gymnasium built of old discolored brick and the top bench I am on is against the wall in a corner. Just beneath me, beneath the top bench but within my reach, is a buttress constructed of the same old brick. It is not very thick for holding up this wall and the mortar that holds against the wall is cracking. I can see and touch the crack. I can feel it separating from the wall, very slightly, but the separation is increasing.

I am alarmed by this. I am in danger and the gymnasium is in danger as well.  People are coming in and beginning to sit on the bleachers.  They don’t  know about the structural flaw and the danger.  I can’t leave my seat.  Something is holding me there.  There is some force of will that I am exerting with my mind on the buttress to keep it in place.  If I leave it could collapse.  And the bleachers are filling up with people.

I now realize that I am not myself in this dream.  I recognize myself as President Obama.  No one else recognizes me as that so the dream metaphor is beginning to become clear to me while I am dreaming.  I feel I must go along with the dream and solve the dilemma that I and all these others are now in. I must pass information along to those near me and ask them to pass the information along to others near them.  The information is complicated, urgent and delicate to communicate without giving rise to panic.

It takes countless attempts, persistence and careful wording.  At last the message begins to get through and the crowd begins to move off of the bleachers.  Many are angry and upset at losing their good seats just before the game is about to begin.

Finally the bleachers are cleared, and workers appear around the bleachers and begin to roll them away from the wall and the precarious buttress.  As it quickly clears the area I sense that I can release my will and let the buttress fall harmlessly at the base of my tall perch on the top bench.

A larger crowd of worker appear bringing more bricks and removing the old ones.  The new and thicker stronger buttress is swiftly built up against the corner of the gymnasium’s walls and the whole building is saved.  But my own attention for the dream has gone and it disappears without knowing any more about the situation.  I wake up.

You are stronger today.

With that glimmer of understanding unconditional love you can begin to know

how to give it to yourself.  Love yourself first, that’s the Key, the Secret.

Get a little farther into that feeling, practice it. It relieves you from the pressure.

With less pressure you see, hear, know more and a tiny hint of some answer

you are looking for can squeeze into your mind,

like a flower blooming through a crack in the concrete.
